3D Grand Prix is a racing game about competing in Formula One-style races across multiple real-world circuits.

The player drives from a first-person cockpit view, managing manual gear shifts and monitoring instruments such as a rev counter and temperature gauge. The game includes eight circuits, including Silverstone, Zandvoort, and Brands Hatch. To progress to the next track, the player must finish each three-lap race within the top four positions.

The BBC Micro version does not display rear-view mirrors, unlike some other versions.
